My first Christmas Wreath

So I thought I would try a wreath since Michaels had them on sale for $1.99. At first I wasn't to sure what I was going to do with it but I knew since I love snowmen then I would have to incorporate at least one.

I found the snowman head ornament at OSH (Orchard Supply Hardware) and the rest I bought at Michaels.  I arranged them on the wreath the way I wanted them and then I used some hot glue to keep them in place.

I have to say I love it. I am so excited. My hubby said "Good job it looks great."

Reindeer Gift Tag

I just wanted to share a quick tag/card that I made using Recollection Jolly & Bright paper stack from Michaels. I cut out the reindeer and the background paper using this stack. I added a cute little ribbon and voila this is what I have.

Crafter's Companion Blog Hop Day 1

Welcome to the Crafter's Companion USA Christmas blog hop!

We are so excited to be giving away so many of Crafter's Companion's fabulous products, as well as sharing many Christmas project ideas. If you are coming from Lynda's blog, you are in the right place. If not, make sure you head over to Crafter’s Companion USA over here, where the blog hop starts. We are giving away a prize on every blog, including the entire set of our new Spectrum Noir alcohol markers to one lucky winner who posts a comment on every blog. These markers are so new, that you will be receiving our first prototype of them. That's 72 markers!

Spectrum Noir pens are alcohol ink based which have been designed specifically for crafters, but these affordable markers are also great for beginners, students and hobby artists alike. Each pen is double-ended, with a broad chisel nib for large area fills and a fine bullet tip for detailed work. Spectrum Noir marker pens will soon be available in 168 colour shades including a colourless blender. The colours blend seamlessly and can be mixed or layered over each other. These fast drying, alcohol based markers are acid-free and non-toxic, and the coloured ends of the pen allow for easy colour identification. (Please note: The design of the pen, color names and numbers may be different than the pens that will be released in January.) The image colour has been reproduced as accurately as possible.

For today's blog hop project I have made a SWALK card. This is an A2 sized card.  I used the Spectrum Noir pens to color in this cute little girl. I stamped the sentiments and then cut around them and used pop dots to adhere them to the card. The paper is DCWV dots, stripes, & plaids matstack on craft cardstock from papertrey ink.

I hope you were inspired by my project today and create your own card or other project. I am giving away the Humphrey the Elephant stamp set of your choice. Just comment before Sunday, December 11th at midnight for your chance to win. All the winners' names will be posted at Crafter's Companion USA News blog on Tuesday December 13th. (Must be a U.S. resident to win).

Your next stop is the talented Denise.

Thank you for joining us today!

Here is the order of the blog hop.

Happy 12th Birthday to my sweet baby girl!

Happy 12th Birthday to my baby girl Megan! I hope you have a wonderful day! Love you lots sweet girl!

This was my first attempt at a card with a window in it. I think this could be my new favorite kind of card. I cut this at 4.25 x 4.25.  I cut the Hello Kitty out at 3 inches I think. I used some lime green stickles on the bow. I used some pink embossed paper I had in my stash. My daughter's favorite color is green so I used some Distress Ink in Peeled Paint on the outside of the white cardstock just to give it a little color.

I used my iRock and green colored glam rocks on the top right and lower left corner of the outside of the card.  I used Wow! So Many Candles stamp set from My Creative Time.  I also used my homemade twine that I found on Pinterest. It was super easy and super cheap. I love the way it looks on this card and I really am not a huge fan of twine. I hope you enjoy this card.

DCWV December Stack-a-holic Template Challenge

This is the layout I made for the December Stack-a-holic Template Challenge for DCWV and as a present for my Mom's birthday.  I used The Bella Armoire Stack from DCWV for this template and some Colorbok chipboard letters.

This is the template for this challenge. I love templates because they are already laid out for you with all the elements.

I put this layout in a scrapbook frame that I purchased at Michaels.  I wrapped it and gave it to my Mom for her birthday. I didn't want to give it to her. I think I might have to make another one for me.

Snowy Days Snowman card

I am so happy that its that it is Christmas time again. I love love love decorating my house with all my snowmen. I just love me some snowmen. I made this card just because I love snowmen. I used the Recollections Snowy Days paper stack from Michaels and cut out the snow man, hat, scarf, arms, and mittens from the image page in this stack. I inked all the edges with Distress Ink in Old Paper just to cover up the fact that I am not the best hand cutter. I also used some pop dots just to give the layers some dimension.

This is a super simple card. I am thinking I might send this out as one of my Christmas cards this year.

  • Recollections - Snowy Days stack
  • Stickles - Icicle
  • Distress Ink - Old Paper
