Very Simple Birthday Card

I got some new "toys" and wanted to see what I could come up with. I wanted to use this cute paper that I bought from Scrapbooksteals.com. This Ek Candles Punch was on sale & since I make mostly birthday cards I thought this would be perfect.

I have been on this kick of decorating the inside of the cards also and not just the outside. This is what I came up with not only to find someone to give this card to.

Ingredients:

  • Distress Ink - Old Paper
  • Cosmo Cricket 6x6 paper stack - Material Girl
  • EK - Candles Punch
  • K&Company adhesive chipboard - Sweetie Birthday

There's a snake in my boot...

Happy 4th Birthday to Derek! He loves love loves his cowboy boots so for his card I made a boot using my gypsy. I used Birthday Bash Cricut Cartridge to make a snake to go inside the boot. You know like Toy Story.   :)

I made this card for My Creative Time Throwback Thursday Challenge. For this challenge you had to use some kind of embossing so I used this new embossing enamel. Its similar to glossy accents except you use a heat gun with it.

Ingredients:

  • Cricut Cartridge - Just Because & Birthday Bash
  • Gypsy - to weld the boots
  • Versa Mark - Dazzle
  • Melt Art  Ultra Thick Embossing Enamel - Clear

Post it Note Holder

I made this cute Post It Holder as my Imagine project for the Imagine Critters Imaginations Design Team Call. I watched something similar to this on youtube or Facebook. I don't remember who or where but I thought it was such a cute idea. I have post its everywhere. This is a great way to keep them handy.

Pansie Oval Picture Frame

For this project I thought I would make a plain ol' wooden frame "beautiful."  I used the Paint Fusion Stamp Set - Pansies.  I then cut them out and pop dotted them onto the frame that I covered with paper. I inked the edges of the paper/frame with Distress Ink in Vintage Photo. I thought it would look kind of vintage.

On the flowers I used glossy accents just to make them look "shiny" as my daughter says. I thought it needed something more so I used The Ultimate Crafter's Companion Tool to tie a bow.

This was a lot easier then it looks. :) I always feel intimidated when I use paint but these are really so simple to use and look so beautiful.
