Getting Cricky Simply Sunday Challenge

This was a very simple card. I cut the mummy out using my Gypsy and Paper Doll Dress Up cartridge. I am not sure of the exact measurements but I think it was cut at 3 inches. I traced the coffin card on the back side of the orange cardstock then cut it out and adhered it to the card. I then used vintage photo and inked up the mummy to make him look old & dirty. I used some pop dots and attached him to the card. I then inked the edges of the card and added the DCWV chilling embellishment.

I cut this from another page in the DCWV matstack to add something to the inside of the card. I am entering this card in the the Getting Cricky Simply Sunday Challenge.

Materials:
  • Distress Ink - Vintage Photo & Black Soot
  • Cricut - Paper Doll Dress Up
  • DCWV - Midnight Spell matstack
  • DCWV - Ghosts & Goblins embellishment

My Creative Time Design Team Call...

This was created as my entry for the design team call over at My Creative Time. I originally seen this on Pinterest and thought I really need one of these in my house. I drew a triangle on the canvas then made a paper template and started measuring and rolling the paper. I then painted the canvas red and let it dry. I got out my hot glue gun and started gluing the rolled up paper on the paper template.  After the canvas was all dry I glued the paper tree to the canvas. I stamped the images and colored them. I then hot glued them to the tree and used some glossy accents to make them pop. It was really fun and simple to make. You should try it     :)

Materials:
  • 9x12 Canvas
  • My Mind's Eye - I Believe

  • Memento Ink - Tuxedo Black

BOO...

For this challenge you had to make a card using an older card that has a "card" feature on it. I chose Just Because Cards because I liked the edges on this one. I wanted to use these K&Company Halloween die cuts. I love the eyes on this one.

This is the inside of the card. I used the cat die cut from the same set and then used a stamp I bought in the dollar section at Michaels. I colored in the little candies with my stampin up pens.

I am entering this card in the Throwback Thursday Challenge - Episode #258

Materials:
  • Cricut cartridge - Just Because Cards
  • DCWV - Ghosts & Goblins Stack
  • K&Company - Halloween adhesive die cuts

Happy Holidays Snowman

I used my Gypsy to weld/make a card using the Blackletter cartridge. I cut an a2 sized card, sized the polka dotted paper at the same size to cover up where I welded the two images, and then I sized the green and white striped layer a little smaller (I am not sure of the exact measurements).

I used Doodlecharms to cut the snowman at 3 inches and the snowflakes I think where at 2 inches.  I used pop dots to add dimension to the snowflakes and the snowman. I inked the edges using Distress Ink in worn lipstick, stamped the sentiment and used stickles to color the nose on the snowman and the snowflakes.

Materials:
  • Cricut cartridges - Blackletter & Doodlecharms
  • Distress Ink - worn lipstick
  • Memento ink - Tuxedo Black
  • Stickles - orange peel & frosted lace
  • My Mind's Eye paper - I Believe
  • My Creative Time stamps - All Around Christmas
  • My Creative Time dies - Scallop & Stitched Circles
