I would love if you could all go to Xyron's Facebook page and leave a comment under my card. I have a chance to win some awesome prizes from Xyron which has some awesome tools. Thanks so much!
I am entering this card in the Cards for Men Challenge 24 - Fancy Folds. For this card I used DCWV The Guy Stack (because it is for a man) and I cut 5, 1.5 inch by 12 inch strips of paper. I then used my Scallop Dot Martha Stewart punch for the edges and scored the strips every 1/4 inch. I then folded the scored lines. I seen this in a magazine but I am sorry I don't know the name of the magazine. I had a hard time keeping the folds together while I used my hot glue gun to make then stay on the card. I think it looks kinda like a tree. I cut out the star at 1 3/4 inches using my Doodlecharms Cricut cartridge. I made it sparkle using crystal stickles and used some pop dots to adhere the star to the top of the tree.
- Martha Stewart punch - Scallop Dot
- DCWV - The Guy Stack
- Cricut Cartridge - Doodlecharms (for the star)
- Stickles - Crystal
For this A2 card I used one of my favorite Cricut cartridges called Doodlecharms. It has so many images and they are so versatile. I cut out the Santa at 3 inches, then put all the layers together, and used some stickles to give him a little pop. I am entering this in this weeks challenge at Northridge Publishing. For this challenge you had to make a Christmas card using non-traditional Christmas colors.
- Cricut cartridge - Doodlecharms
- DCWV - Nana's Nursery Baby Boy
- Distress Ink - Faded Jeans
- My Creative Time - Small Talk stamp set
- Stickles - Xmas Red, Icicle, & Gunmetal
I just love the Humphrey stamps. The stamp set I used for this album was the Humphrey Christmas Tree stamp set. Every year my kids decorate the tree and I take a picture of them in front of the tree when they are done. I thought this would be a perfect album for the picture.
I stamped the image on some marker paper I purchased at Michaels. I used some awesome markers that you can now pre-order at Crafter's Companion. They are called Spectrum Noir and they are fabulous. I was kinda intimidated because I have only used watercolor markers and a little chalk but these are really fun to use and blend so easily.
I used my Cricut to cut out the images and frames for the album pages. I then used a lot of Stickles to decorate the tree and some of the stamped images. I used Memento ink to stamp the images.
- Memento ink - Tuxedo Black
- Crafter's Companion - Spectrum Noir markers, Humphrey Christmas Tree Stamp Set
- My Creative Time - All Around Christmas and scalloped & stitched circle die set
- 8 inch round chip board
- Cricut Cartridge - Winter Frolic
For this card I used a 4.5 x 5.5 inch kraft cardstock for the base of my card. I cute out Santa using my Gypsy and he is 3.20 inches. I cute out the Merry Christmas out from one of the tag pages in the Jolly & Bright paper pack. I cut the background paper out in strips (sorry I don't know the measurements). I used my Xyron adhesive machine to put the layers on the Santa and the strips of paper to the card.
I made this card to be entered into the Peachy Keen Stamps Challenge 65 and Xyron Holiday Card Contest.
- Stickles - icicle, cotton candy
- Distress Ink - frayed burlap
- Recollections paper stack - Jolly & Bright
- Cricut cartridge - Simply Charmed
- Inkssentials - black enamel accents
- Xyron adhesive
I want to say Happy 17th Birthday to my oldest son. I can't believe how fast the years have gone by.
I made this money card holder. I don't really do gift cards or gifts. I usually do cash and this is what my kids get for their birthday that way they can go and buy whatever they want for their birthday.
I used DCWV The Celebrate Stack paper and cut it at just slightly smaller then the 2.5x4 inch paper sack from Celebrate It at Michaels. I inked the edges with Distress Ink in blue jeans. I cut out the candles from the same stack and then used the curly label die and Wow! So Many Candles stamp set from My Creative Time. Super easy and cute.
- DCWV - The Celebration Stack
- Distress Ink - Blue Jean
- My Creative Time - Wow! So Many Candles & Curly Label die
- Memento ink - Tuxedo Black
- Celebrate It - 2.5 x 4 inch paper sack
I made this frame after watching a video on youtube.com from Northridge Publishing. She did this a little different but I wanted to make a frame and put a picture of my husbands grandparents in it.
This frame was just a dollar at michaels. I went to an antique store and found a book that was fairly cheap and had more words then pictures to use on the frame. I took a 1 inch punch and started punching away at some pages that I tore out of the book. I then took a pencil and twisted it and then hot glued them to the frame. I started in one corner and started filling in until the frame was completely covered. Then I sprayed Modge Podge on it and sprinkled on the some Martha Stewart glitter before the modge podge dried. Let it dry and shook off the extra glitter. I then tied a bow and hot glued that to the top.
- 4x6 dollar frame from Michaels
- Modge Podge - aresol spray
- Martha Stewart glitter
- Children's Book from antique store
- 1 inch circle punch
- Black ribbon
